Do you find it easier to encounter the divine outdoors?
Are you looking for a community that feels the same?

Intertwined exists at the intersection of faith and the environment. It’s a place to explore how to be in a world where everyone and everything is injured by climate change. It’s a place to engage in open and challenging discussions about scripture, life, and justice.

By design, Intertwined does not own a building. Our Sunday gatherings (April to October) occur outdoors, typically in a grove of trees on City Island near Harrisburg (PA). Participants bring a camp chair and spend time centering, hearing sacred readings, praying, and engaging in fellowship.

Opportunities to meet occur throughout the week. In addition to our Sunday gatherings on City Island and online, we also meet for hikes, coffee, and evening conversations. Thus our conversations and community extend beyond Sunday.

We also post regularly to social media, offering opportunities to stay connected and engage in spiritual practices. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook for:

  • Monday - a moment to breathe

  • Tuesday - this week’s scripture passage

  • Wednesday - World Wednesday prayer

  • Thursday - quick scripture interpretation

  • Friday - prayers for the week

In addition, reflections are regularly posted to YouTube, Medium, and our podcast.

When the weather is not hospitable to sitting outdoors, we gather in other ways. From November through April, our Sunday gatherings typically occur on our YouTube channel, though we also have in-person meetings a few times through the winter as well.

We are intertwined with God.
We are intertwined with one another.
We are intertwined with the rest of creation.
